Finished. These have come out pretty well I think. I've never tried stringing bows etc before and have learned a few things along the way. I'm glad I did the extra shields and figures to fill out the base.
Today will be mostly about repairing existing bases; replacing lost spears etc. then the rugby, cheering for the men in red.
Cheers

Yes a lovely unit; especially like the shields.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant work, colorful and impressive!
ReplyDeletePhil.
Very nice figures and very nice bases !
ReplyDeleteGreate unit !!!
ReplyDeleteThose are ballistas rather than catapults, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteCall them whatever makes you happy. I tend to think of the ballista as the larger weapon used in seiges, but it all seems a bit semantic for playing with toy soldiers, doesn't it? I do have a Gripping Beast ballista that may make an appearance once I sort out which crew figures I want to use.
DeleteBeautiful figures. I love that blue color.
