Using Powerpoint to draw a map

In response to requests, here is a quick and basic tutorial for creating wargames table maps using MS-Powerpoint 2010. I hope this helps someone out there:

Of course I KNEW that it was possible to do maps on Powerpoint, but I didn't had a clue where to start. This was supremely useful and easy to follow. Many thanks!

An excellent guide, many thanks for these tips. You can also do the same in MS Excel, which allows you to work with a grid quite nicely of course.
