These were "pimped" to make them more interesting and I still occasionally add to the collection. They are still a good option if starting from scratch as they are consistently sized and come ready textured with their flock which picks up dry brushing well. I have a set of boards for 6mm games which were made from plain polystyrene and textured with sand. These are also great but took more effort and were not much cheaper.
